Compeat CMO, Kristi Turner, Named 2019 Top Women in Restaurant Technology Award Winner for Lifetime Achievement

Compeat, the most comprehensive all-in-one integrated restaurant accounting, back office, workforce and intelligence management software is proud to announce that Chief Marketing Officer, Kristi Turner, has been named as an award recipient for Hospitality Technology (HT) magazine’s 2019 Top Women in Restaurant Technology for Lifetime Achievement.

Now in its third year, the Top Women in Restaurant Technology Awards seeks to honor outstanding women from both restaurants and technology suppliers for reimagining restaurant processes and operations while demonstrating excellence in leadership, inventiveness and skill.

This Lifetime Achievement award is presented in recognition of a lifetime (no less than 15 years) of service and accomplishments in the foodservice technology industry. It honors women who have had an impact on the foodservice technology industry as well as their colleagues and industry peers through enthusiasm, mentorship and commitment, while also showing how technologies can provide new ways of doing things.

“We’ve seen exponential growth in the number of nominations we receive for this program since its first installment in 2017,” states Dorothy Creamer, editor of HT. “We are in a period where many industries are in desperate need of tech talent. While a challenge, it also presents an exciting opportunity for more women than ever before to emerge as leaders in a space traditionally dominated by men. We are honored to be able to recognize this year’s innovators, from the up-and-comers to the trailblazers, who have always known that women in IT have always been powering the possible.”

“Kristi’s blend of passion for marketing, technology and the restaurant industry is an amazing asset to our company. We are very proud of her achievements,” says Jeff Stone, CEO of Compeat.  “We strive to have a diverse and inclusive culture. Kristi’s continued commitment to mentoring and inspiring other women and men in our field has a positive impact on both our employees and customers alike.”

“It’s hard to believe 30 years ago I was a waitress at Outback Steakhouse and now I am CMO of a technology company serving the restaurant industry,” said Turner. “Acknowledgements such as this award are a reminder of how proud I am to serve this industry, and I am excited to be included in this list of prestigious women.”

The awards will be presented on March 12th during the 24th annual MURTEC (Multi-Unit Restaurant Technology Conference), being held March 11-13, at The Paris in Las Vegas. All of the winners’ profiles can be viewed in the April 2019 issue of Hospitality Technology Magazine (
